I first visited York many years ago and fell in love with the magic of its medieval streets, incredible history, and the friendliness of its people. To think that I would one day own a house in the historic heart of the city was a distant dream—one that has beautifully come to fruition.
The Townhouse, built on the site of the Roman barracks and the medieval Minster School, is situated in the historic Minster Quarter. This charming self-catering accommodation in York once formed the boundary of one of the gates to the Minster Precinct and is moments away from where Roman emperors were proclaimed and where several of them held court and ruled the empire.
It is a privilege to be able to offer the Townhouse in the centre of such an incredible city, in the hope that our guests feel that same sense of wonder I experienced on my very first visit.
I hope you choose to stay and experience the magic for yourself.
