Terms & Conditions
We look forward to welcoming you to York and wish you a very enjoyable stay. The full cost of your booking is payable by debit or credit card at the time of booking. The Townhouse accommodates six with room for two additional people on the lounge sofa-bed.
We welcome families with children and all guests irrespective of race, religion, disability or sexual orientation.
For the comfort of all our guests, we request that dogs are not left in the house alone and not permitted on the furniture. The Townhouse is a non-smoking & no-vaping environment at all times. For safety, flammable devices including candles must not be used in the house.
We are unable to accept bookings from stag parties. If you have any questions in this respect, please contact us to ask.
Please note that the Townhouse is located in a quiet residential area. You agree to be considerate and not cause excessive noise, disturbance or nuisance to neighbouring properties.
Cleaning and servicing of the Townhouse will take place before your arrival. In addition, we can arrange to change beds once for every full week of your stay on request for no charge and undertake a full clean if requested for an additional cleaning charge.
Payment Dates, Cancellation and Insurance:
Once you have booked your holiday, our agreement is a legal contract and monies paid by you are non-refundable. Where we have not received payment in full, we will cancel your reservation unless agreed otherwise in writing between us. In such a circumstance, we will attempt to contact you to clarify whether you do wish to continue with your booking. If for whatever reason you cannot take your holiday, we will only be able to reimburse you in full in the event that the accommodation is let to another party for the entire period of your booked stay. Where we are only able to re-let the accommodation for part of your booked stay, we will reimburse you the difference on receipt of monies for the new booking less a £30 administration charge. Monies will not be refundable under any other circumstance. We strongly recommend that you take out cancellation insurance, which can be obtained from any good broker.
Non-availability of Accommodation:
We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation were unavailable in exceptional circumstances. Whilst we could recommend possible alternatives for you to arrange yourself, we could not guarantee the availability of these, and such alternatives would vary in price from the Townhouse. We would not be able to provide alternative accommodation ourselves. We would however refund the monies paid by you to us in full for your reservation of the Townhouse. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Arrival:
Your accommodation will be available to you from 4pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. Please try not to arrive earlier –we will still be busy preparing your accommodation, and won't be available to welcome you.
Departure:
Please be ready to leave the accommodation by 11am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged in advance with us. Please try to leave the accommodation as clean as possible. If you have made use of any further service for which payment has not been made during your holiday, we will provide you with an invoice which is payable on departure.
Damages, Breakages and Security:
You agree to pay any costs relating to damages, breakages, items missing from the Townhouse during your stay, or where your use of the Townhouse has resulted in additional cleaning over and above the standard cleaning services undertaken between the change of guests, or where your use of the Townhouse, or your late departure has resulted in following on guests being unable to use the Townhouse from their agreed arrival time. You agree that in such cases you will be legally liable for these costs and should we be unable to charge the provided guest card for these purposes, you hereby agree that you will reimburse us in full within one week of billing for any costs we incur in case of reckless use or lack of reasonable care of the Townhouse and its contents during your stay, or as outlines in these Terms and Conditions.
You are responsible for the reasonable security of the Townhouse ensuring that all exterior doors and windows are locked in your absence from the property during your stay, including ensuring keys to locked doors are removed from them. You are liable for any losses or thefts from the property resulting from not securing the property sufficiently in your absence from it.
Parking:
We provide free parking for one car a 2-3 minute walk from the house. Parking is at your own risk.
Liability:
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
You are responsible for your reasonable general safety such as ensuring that window key locks provided to you are easily accessible in different parts of the house where you and your guests are present in case of need of escape, and that children are supervised on an ongoing basis.
Any data collected during the course of this booking may be kept in physical form, on computer, email correspondence or booking software used for your booking.
